Oakley, aka "Oak-Oak", "Oakey" and "Moaning Myrtle", was our puppy from the Moonsetter M-Litter. This little power-house of a Gordon girl is big on sweetness - with incredible bone and substance, a solid, level topline, short back, and beautiful "doggy" head piece. In essence, she oozes breed type!
In typical Gordon Setter fashion, she was devoted and loyal to a fault - most especially to Olivia, who was Oakley's biggest fan and handler in the show ring. Together they finished Oakley's championship taking not one, but TWO 5 point majors - the second coming by way of Winners Bitch at the North Country Gordon Setter Club Specialty show. Oakley went back into competition in the summer of 2018 to work on her Grand Championship, and earned the title very quickly - taking time to have a litter of puppies in the middle, and finishing in "grand" style just 15 weeks after her last litter!
Oakley came back out of retirement at 9 1/2 for our two specialties in 2021, and garnered herself two more specialty wins- Select Bitch from the Veteran class, and Best in Veteran Sweepstakes in strong competition (including against her daughter, Tamsyn).
She is the dam of the phenomenal Moonsetter O, S, and V Litters, the first two sired by our Conall, and the last sired by Trooper (R Litter). She is OFA Good (hips), Elbows Normal, CAER (eyes) Normal, and RCD4 clear by parentage.
